Is there another industry that changes faster than digital marketing? Maybe photography! But that’s still an aspect of digital marketing. Photography and digital marketing grow at the speed of social technology. When it comes down to it, it’s all about showing your brand–who you are–no matter where or how you are showing it. Here’s how you can use social media to make the biggest brand impact in 2021:
How to think about marketing goals in 2021
With the marketing world always changing, the average marketer or business owner might wonder ‘what gives?’. It’s understandably hard to keep up with the trends. But regardless of whether you post on Reels or TikTok, here are some things we think are sticking around the fickle ecosystem of Florida swing state, a region known for it’s ability to adapt to fast paced changes.
Partner with influencers
Influencer marketing is accessible and effective. Of course, the budget required for influencer marketing goes up the more exposure you get. So for more popular influencers with lots of followers, a la Khloe Kardashian, can be quite expensive. But if you analyze your market and understand who you need to appeal to, it can be an affordable to get in touch with micro-influencers within your specific communities. Sometimes this can be accomplished with the exchange of goods and services and doesn’t have to cost any money.
Utilize pixels
Pixels are a wonderful tool for selling products. In simple terms, a pixel is a cookie that tracks the movements of your customer on your advertisements, webpage and even behaviors when they bounce from the page. Depending on how you use a pixel, you can set it up to follow customers around and retarget your products, or to get a better idea of how people use your site. Facebook has a good pixel service, you can even use it to move goods from your online store to your facebook shop catalog to reach more customers.
Create storefronts on social
Facebook, Instagram, Shopify and other platforms allow you to get your products out to the world. It may not be enough to have them on just one platform. New tools like Instagram Shops makes social media a fabulous place to promote your products to buyers, gain their interest and make conversions.
Figure out video
Social media isn’t going anywhere, and video is its future. While you’re ensuring your shop shows up on Instagram and Facebook, promote it by sharing videos across the sister-platforms. Since the Zuckerburg acquisition of Instagram, the photo and video sharing platform has made a number of improvements for business owners. One way to ensure your content get seen is to use Reels, Live and IGTV to reach users and boost yourself on platform’s algorithm.
Invite user generated content
User generated content is a hot trend right now, and from the vantage point of my Tampa Bay and Orlando photography business, I think it’s sticking around! It’s a win, win. Marketers don’t have to pay for great, accessible content and users feel connected to brands when they get to share their own stories on company platforms.
