1188 Mandalay Point—sounds exotic, right? That’s the address of the most expensive home in Tampa Bay. It’s in Clearwater and sold for over $9M in 2019. During a time when many of us (especially marketers!) can use a vacation but really can’t travel, let’s live vicariously through this beautiful, pristine mansion, that makes up the top tier of Tampa luxury real estate:
What does Tampa luxury real estate have to do with photography?
It’s not a stretch to think that photography and real estate go hand in hand. In fact, great photography is essential for any professional Realtor to sell a listing. That’s why so many blogs offer paraprofessional tips on how to have the best luxury real estate photos. Of course, spoiler alert, the best way to get great looking pictures is to hire professional photographers for all of your photography needs.
That said, I’m not in the business of real estate photography, but as a photographer I appreciate aesthetics. And architecture, interior and exterior design, offer a lot of pleasing aesthetics as well as fodder for my vision board, because I’m just like you, always dreaming of bigger and better things.
Lately, I’ve been dreaming about vacation, but the COVID-19 pandemic has other plans for us all. So instead of going out to get my kicks, I started looking up luxury real estate, and that’s when I got the idea to bring you this fun blog that offers an inside scoop on Tampa’s most expensive estate.
1188 Mandalay Point: Gated with private beach access
Private beach access and an infinity pool? Sign me up. The Tampa Bay Times describes 1118 Mandalay Point as, “Located in a gated community minutes north of Clearwater Beach, the back yard is essentially a private beach, complete with an infinity pool and spa. The four-bedroom, six-bathroom house also has a fireplace and sits on about an acre.” Zillow offers the built year is 1984 and says that it’s currently valued at over $10M and rising.
The estate has private dock access to the waterfront.
Unfortunately, for anyone who likes to walk to get around, the residence has a walkscore of 0, per walkscore.com. But really, if this was your home, why would you ever even leave the house?
I think I could deal with the bad walk score if it means I get to live in a beach mansion. What do you think? Drop a comment and check out my Instagram @kristinamaness.
