There’s a good reason brands use social media to reach consumers. For one, it’s very accessible. In fact, according to Statista, there are more than 3.5 billion social media users. That’s just under half the world’s population.
Long story short, if you have a target market, you can reach it on social media. But once you do? What next? Without a clear plan, there’s only so much social media will do for your company’s growth, and that’s why I’m always over here talking about brand photos and what they mean for you.
In this article, we’ll take a look at how you use social media and how professional brand photography from Kristina Maness Photography can make it better. But, first:
What if I already have a headshot?
If you already have a headshot, you can still benefit from brand photography. First, it’s a good idea to have more than one headshot. And it should always look like you do today. If your headshot is dated, or just a little polished and inauthentic, it might be time to consider a new one or to add a few more to your repertoire.
That said, brand photography is so much more than a headshot. Corporate branding photography should show you, the executive, as a real person. Not a stiff set of shoulders against a gray wall. If you find your current headshot is lacking, maybe it wasn’t meant to be. Maybe you should consider partnering with a photographer for brand photography that will shoot you in your office, in your favorite Tampa bar, or by your sports car. Whatever suits you, I can accomplish it.
When you partner with Kristina Maness Photography, we’ll take more than just headshots. We’ll shoot products, candids and get all the shots you need to provide a rich online experience to visitors of your website and social media sites.
Use your brand photos on your social media
Here are a few ways you can use brand photography on social media:
- The dreaded LinkedIn headshot: If you’re an executive with a camera phone picture on LinkedIn, it’s past time we talked. To capture the best version of you to show to the entire business world on LinkedIn, you should look vibrant, alive, polished and professional.
- Scheduled social posts: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest are great places to post content. The scheduled social post allows for you to plan your social media campaign around your new photos. When you get a photoshoot you benefit from a whole quarter’s worth of photography that can be used in your social posts to drive traffic to your website or products, and create engagement.
- Use them with Canva: If you have Canva, you can create rich, dynamic social posts that revolve around your new photos. For example, you can insert a photo into a template that gives you an IG Reel or story. Ultimately, mixing it up with a tool like Canva gives you more opportunities for visual content on different platforms.
